magical presence Itachi's body radiates a noticeable warmth. This temperature is more obvious when touched. If he's recently cast an evocation spell, it will be hotter, almost feverish. He will also have a 'vagueness' to his presence, becoming somewhat more difficult to see or notice. If he's recently cast an illusion spell, this effect is stronger. You may forget his presence entirely (think Cole from Dragon Age, reference here).
after effects & limitations If abusing illusion spells, Itachi will begin to see images that are not there. If abusing evocation spells, Itachi may accidentally set things in his environment on fire or burn things at a touch.
Illusion spells may become warped or vanish at an inopportune time. Illusions of a heightened nature may cause intense headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, and potential loss of consciousness. Evocation spells may create a destructive backlash the stronger they are, and may also drain Itachi's magical energy, causing severe nausea and potential bleeding (particularly nosebleeds).

familiar A crow (ref). A larger size at 20in/51cm and 3lbs/48oz, not typical of the species. Its temperament is directly opposite its witch, that is to say: energetic, wildly spastic, and dumb as rocks. Its least favorite person in the entire city is Sasuke. HATES that guy.

illusion spells
✓ MINOR ILLUSION: creates a sound or image of an object within range; if sound, volume ranges from a whisper to a scream.
✓ DISGUISE SELF: changes appearance, although the illusion fails to hold up to physical investigation.
✓ MIRROR IMAGE: creates three illusory copies of self; the copies can mimic actions and movements.
✓ SHADOW BLADE: weaves together threads of shadow to create a sword of solidified gloom.
✓ FEAR: creates a phantasmal image of a target's worst fears.
✓ HALLUCINATORY TERRAIN: changes the terrain of a surrounding area to look, sound, and smell like somewhere else.
✓ DREAM: shapes a target's dreams; target must be sleeping to be affected.
✓ SIMULACRUM: creates an illusory duplicate of any creature, acting and appearing identical to its original.
✓ WEIRD: drawing upon a target's deepest fears, illusory creatures or images can be projected into their mind, visible only to them.
evocation spells
✓ MINOR FIRE CREATION: creates small amount of fire to be held or manipulated.
✓ CONTROL FLAMES: allows caster to control created or preexisting fire within range to a higher degree of precision.
✓ SHAPE WATER: manipulates water; can change flow or appearance, form shapes, or freeze it.
✓ FLAME BLADE: evokes a fiery blade into existence.
✓ FIREBALL: propels a streak of fire from one hand in any chosen direction, blossoming into an explosion of flame.
✓ WALL OF FIRE: creates a wall of fire on a solid surface within range.
✓ IMMOLATION: flames wreathe a target within range.
✓ FIRE STORM: creates a storm made of sheets of roaring fire in a selected area.
✓ MAELSTROM: creates a swirling mass of five-foot deep water in a selected area.
✓ METEOR SWARM: draws four blazing orbs of fire from the sky to the ground.
enchantment spells (eventually)
* it is possible for these spells to be resisted, depending on the situation and circumstances in which they are used. certain Monsters or strong-willed individuals may be especially resilient. OOC discussion/permission is required.
COMMAND: issues a simple command on a target. has no effect if it is directly harmful.
SLEEP: sends the target into a magical slumber.
PARALYZE: target is paralyzed for a short duration.
CALM EMOTIONS: a spell that attempts to suppress strong emotions in a group of people or one individual.
SUGGESTION: allows caster to magically influence a target and suggest a course of action.
DOMINATE: establishes a controlling telepathic link with a target that is successfully beguiled. this link allows commands, suggestions, or thoughts to be directly communicated.
