Harbour front? Like right down by the docks on the bay? We can probably find a quieter place to go, tho I saw this other spot in the Wilde but idk if we should risk Cwyld fish.
I would ensure we avoid the Cwyld and protect us against other dangers. That said, perhaps the harbor would be the easiest alternative. There's no risk involved.
[... does he have to repeat that? It's such a strong statement, that it feels like lying. However, if it means Jonas is satisfied...]
I am excited to catch a fish of suitable size.
Merrow may be more difficult to avoid. There are many in the water lately due to the season change. We should announce our presence first, or perhaps frighten them off.
Let's go with your first suggestion. aka the not scary/needlessly mean choice. I don't think I've ever talked to a merrow before, is it the same as talking to anybody? Or do they have mermaid kinda traits we should bring ear plugs for?
Merrow's siren abilities are limited to bodies of water. I know one personally. She does have the physical characteristics and traits of aquatic life, but we have only ever spoken on land.
Ear plugs may be wise, as a preemptive measure. The full moon is Friday night.
If you fall for some cute siren girl's (or guy's??) singing, I will totally bail you out. Unless..........πππyou don't want me to........π
(no one can sniff at jonas' mental fortitude. this guy is committed to leaving a positive, healthy impact on this genocidal sourpuss. which is haunting when put in such simple terms, but it's the only way he's going to be able to cope.
hopefully itachi won't shove him bodily into the water as bait.)
dw about me, unlike you I'm totally impenetrable. Impregnable. A fortress of willpower, esp against the ladies because I'm awkward as hell.
Maybe I can use a sound spell layered OVER my barrier spells? Then we can just sit in our own little bubble of silence.
[This is his first encounter with the wild emojis. Itachi squints down at the little screen of the watch, an almost comical expression of confusion on his face.]
It would be wise to watch one another's back, in case either of us are lured unwittingly by a Merrow. Your suggestion isn't a bad one. Is it something you can maintain over time? We should consider your magic will be weaker on that evening as well.
[No, he has to ask. He can't let this continue without asking. He's withstood the strange and shortened, butchered words all this time, but this is going too farβ]
(smooth, sailing right over his remarks. this guy's a tough nut to crack.)
A-thank you. I do, from time to time, have strokes of genius and I enjoy being praised when it happens. I'm valid. Your cluelessness about texting in general is valid, too.
They're called "emoji" and you can use them to convey emotion through your messages.
Like oh you're sad but don't wanna say it/describe it? There are emoji for that: ππ’ππ₯Ί Feeling super loving but can't put it into words? There are emoji for that: β€οΈοΈπππ₯° And the more of the same emoji you put in a row, the stronger the emotion. Like this: "That's strange, I must investigate! π€π§π§π§"

I've never actually caught ocean fish before.
no subject
Is there a significant difference in ocean fish?
[All he knows is... idk, Kisame.]

Ocean fish are...... I don't actually know. But there is, I just don't know the reason. Like, salt water fish are different from normal water fish.
(christ)
Harbour it is.

Is there anything I should bring?

Bring yourself and a can-do attitude.
Also a big hat and some sunblock so you don't get burnt.

'Can-do attitude'?

You're right LOL. And can-do attitude means you're ready to catch the biggest fish ever and you'll be excited by the success. "CAN" + "DO".
If I can, then you'll probably catch a shark your first go.

[Excitement is a tougher ask...]
If that happened, I'd release it. I'd rather avoid harming any sharks.
[no shark fin soup ty]

ia though, we'll only catch and cook the little ones. No sharks, no stray merrows lmao

I appreciate the explanation, but I find words sufficient enough to communicate my meaning. I don't need symbolic expressions for emotion.
I also find them subjective. It would be much easier to misconstrue something with these, in my opinion.
